On their way to economic independence
The adolescent program aims to put adolescents on their way to economic independence through purposeful academic and physical work so that they can take up their role as responsible adults in the world they would dream to live in tomorrow.
To foster the development of students' ability to regulate their own learning, rely on their skills and knowledge, as well as to develop creativity, initiative and entrepreneurship, the school will apply the Montessori methodology for secondary education.
The Montessori methodology offers the advantage of uniting several active methodologies in a single program: cooperative learning, learning based on problem solving and project based learning using critical, creative and analytical thinking strategies.

The prepared environment
A fundamental characteristic of the Montessori method is the so-called prepared environment. It is a place that offers a pedagogical and scientific base facilitating learning, where adolescents can connect, relate and develop. It is a predictable environment that offers physical and emotional security, fosters independence, and facilitates the transformation process into peaceful, happy, and confident youth.
Our prepared environment is a 6000 m2 plot in Torrelodones that offers plenty of space for indoor and outdoor work, meditation and contact with nature. The plot offers opportunities for organic produce, natural resource management, machine use and maintenance, woodlot maintenance.

A place for study and work

Social organization and community life
A second fundamental aspect in the Montessori methodology is to offer conditions that allow for social organization and community life both within the educational community and in its relations with the local community.
The structure of the center allows us to look for formulas to share spaces and schedule the collaboration of community members in curricular and extracurricular activities.

The connection with nature
The students will build and maintain an organic garden, which can serve as the basis for their school meals.
Healthy food is one of the keys to a healthy life and the sooner our children learn that, the healthier their meals will be. Yet, if we want them to take responsibility for their meals being healthy, it is essential that they know the food well and the best way to know it is to learn how to cook it. In school, the preparation of healthy food is an academic activity of social and community interaction.
When we see nature, we understand it. When we understand it, we care about it. When we care about it, we’ll do something to help save it.

Micro entrepreneuring
A third fundamental element of the Montessori methodology is to offer real opportunities for entrepreneurship. The school is committed to making it easier for students to develop and strengthen the entrepreneurial spirit with attitudes of creativity, flexibility, initiative, teamwork, self-confidence and a critical sense and thus foster the ability to learn how to learn, plan, make decisions. and take responsibility.
The school will help students develop and manage their own microenterprise and to use information and communication technologies with solvency and responsibility for their business initiative.
The prepared adults
We are building our team of guides and support staff to ensure a strong Montessori program and therefore the long-term success of the school.
The school prioritizes in its hiring policy teachers with AMI/NAMTA adolescent studies. Individual traits and talents that add value to the program will also be considered.
The school has formulated a non-discriminatory hiring policy in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
